Technip contracted for fertilizer complex in Brazi

Within the framework of a cooperation partnership with Haldor Topsoe, Technip has been awarded a contract for providing basic and front end engineering services on a Petrobras grassroots fertilizer complex to be located in Minas State, Brazil. The complex will include complete utilities and offsite systems necessary for operation and the 1500 mt/day ammonia unit based on Haldor Topsoe technology. The basic engineering design will be developed by Haldor Topsoe and Technip’s operating center in Rome, Italy. Technip’s operating center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will execute the front end engineering design. Engineering activities are scheduled to be completed within the first half of 2012, and the project is to be in operation in 2015.
