Technip awarded Lucius subsea contract

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation awarded a lump sum contract to Technip for the development of the Lucius Field. The field is located at a water depth of about 7,000feet in the Keathley Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico.

The contract will cover the installation of a flexible flowline, several flexible gas lift jumpers, subsea distribution units, main gas lift and infield umbilicals, electrical, fibre optic and hydraulic flying leads. The fabrication and installation of rigid jumpers, burial of flowlines and the flooding and hydro-testing of the flowline system are also included in the contract. The contract will utilize a number of key assets of Technip’s recently acquired Global Industries, as well as the Deep Blue, one of the company’s deepwater pipelay vessel during the offshore installation phases in 2013-2014.

The overall project management will be performed by Technip’s operating center in Houston, Texas.
