Tapflo improves flap valves for sanitary pumps

The food sector is a demanding industry with a great variety of products. This means that a pump dedicated to these applications has to be designed not only with the highest hygienic standards, but also be robust and versatile to meet the challenges of the market.

Tapflo, a pump manufacturer for various industrial applications with distribution in Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Mexico and the US, has recently introduced an improved version of their flap valve sanitary pump. The flap valve consists of fewer parts but is more robust, therefore extending pump lifetime. The T225 and T425 pump sizes can handle solids up to 50 mm and the pump reaches 4.5 meters dry suction head. Another key feature of the new design is that the flap valve itself is more hygienic and easier to clean.
