Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Corp. is celebrating 50 years in business in 2016. Val-Matic was founded in 1966 by Andrew Nuter and Ted Makowan and started with only a silent check valve product line.

Techcon Systems, a product group of OK International and a provider of fluid dispensing systems and products, has developed a new disposable material path (DMP) diaphragm valve. The new TS5624DMP valve features a “first to market” disposable material path, enabling difficult fluids and pre-mixed two-part epoxies to be dispensed without the need for frequent cleaning.

Three years ago, upgrades were suggested for the Galt Wastewater Treatment Plant (GWTP) located in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, but they are only being implemented now and at about $800,000 CAD over budget.

Fetso has launched a new proportional valve, the VPPX, which has an external sensor input, offers users improved performance and maximum flexibility. The valve is a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller ideal for use in industrial control systems found in process, packaging and water and wastewater applications.

At the upcoming ACE 2015 taking place in Anaheim, California from June 7 to 10, Festo will be presenting a new modular approach to automating water/wastewater and other processing plants. KSB Group, the international manufacturer of valves and pumps, has named Mr. Michael Blundell the president of both the Canadian and American subsidiaries. The group’s American operation is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.

The Series 5400 Control Pinch Valve offered by Red Valve is a good fit for controlling influent to a wastewater treatment plant. The full-port opening allows raw sewage and debris such as twigs, rags and plastic bottles to easily pass without clogging.
