A Primer on Subsea Valves

As depth increases, the face of every man slowly turns cold. As they watch the hand on the gauge advance into the feared red zone, a single thought roams their heads: will it hold? During the terrible wait, some start to hear noises: leaks, gaskets blowing, and creaking sounds. This scene may look straight out of an old submarine movie, but it might as well be about hyperbaric testing a subsea valve.
