Flowserve Corporation, a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, has announced its new strategic agreement with United Valve of Houston, Texas, providing factory-authorized repair and service on Edward valves.

Late last month, the workers at Farley nuclear power plant located near Dothan in southeast Alabama, took Unit 1 offline for a scheduled refuelling and maintenance outage. Workers with Southern Nuclear were performing upgrades to the plant systems and components in addition to refuelling the reactor and performing regular maintenance and testing.

Houston-based United Valve is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2011, and the last decade has seen United Valve expand into several new areas of valve service.
