North Dakota regulators will soon be holding a public hearing in Watford City regarding a proposed oil pipeline in McKenzie County.

Williams Partners L.P. (Williams) expects to begin construction soon on its Hillabee Expansion Project, which the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) recently approved.

Hydro One and Hydro Ottawa are planning extensive infrastructure upgrades to support the power requirements of the proposed TransCanada Energy East pipeline, including safety valve stations which will be located all along the pipeline route, and 20 megawatts for a pumping station near Richmond.

One of the partners behind a proposed crude oil pipeline that would pass under Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota, recently agreed to install an additional block valve as a safety measure to ease concerns about how quickly a spill could pollute the lake.
