Skanska to expand Brazil natural gas plant
Skanska has been contracted by Petrobras for engineering, procurement and construction to increase the capacity of the natural gas treatment and compression of the Cabiúnas Terminal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a joint venture with two local companies.
Triple M scores valve order from Petrobras
Triple M Upstream, a division of Brazil-based Triple M, has secured 3 important orders to manufacture special rubber seated butterfly Mack valves for Petrobras. In a package of more than $300,000 calling for 70 valves, Triple M will supply Duplex Trim Valves following the API 609 Class A requirements.
Mogas now on Petrobras MVLO
After more than a year working on documents, reference lists and tests, Triple M has been successful in getting Mogas Industries USA registered on Petrobras Master Vendors List off-shore ( MVLO). The Petrobras spec of VET valves (Válvulas de Estanqueidade) for metal seated ball valves, is one of the toughest valve specs worldwide, and is utilized on upstream applications, mainly for offshore platforms and FPSO´s.
Petrobras’ CEO at Downstream Asia 2011

Cameron signs subsea contract with Petrobras
Petrobras has renewed its CAMSERV aftermarket services contract with Cameron in support of developments offshore Brazil. This agreement is a continuation to the contract previously signed in 2007. The agreement will be managed from Cameron’s service center in Macae and the facility will support Petrobras operations with inspection, maintenance, repair and remanufacturing, storage and offshore installation services.
Excelerate Energy awards VT3 contract
DSME has been selected by Excelerate Energy to build a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to be utilized by Petrobras, which has designated the ship VT3. Said to be the largest vessel of its kind, the vessel will deliver 20 million cum/day of natural gas to the Southeast Region of Brazil.
