Initec to build gas-fired plant in Brazil
Initec Energia has secured a $364 million contract from MPX Energia to construct a 500MW combined-cycle gas-fired power plant in Maranhao, Brazil. The project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2014, reports Bloomberg.
MPX Energia granted plant installation licence
MPX Energia has obtained an installation license from the Environmental Secretary of the State of Maranhao (SEMA) for the construction of the 1863MW Parnaiba Thermo Power Plant.
