Valve Assist from Modec is a range of portable power tools designed to take the hard work out of operating manual valves. Valves can become difficult to operate for a number of reasons.

Indra Italy was chosen to provide valves for the Brazilian project FPSO Almirante Barroso for Modec. The company has now supplied ball valves of various diameters (from 2” to 6”), various types (Soft & Metal Seated; Cryogenic; Trunnion), various ratings (# 300-600-1500-2500 & API 10000/15000), and various configurations (Double Block & Bleed; Single Block & Bleed; Single Block Manual & ON/OFF).

Two of Velan’s subsidiaries, Velan ABV Srl and Velan SAS, have secured contracts with a total value of USD 63M. First, the extension of a previous order with MODEC and the second, a contract with ITER for their tokamak cooling water system.

Velan has been awarded contracts for the supply of three different types of valve to Singapore’s MODEC Offshore Production Systems, it was announced in late July.

GE Oil & Gas, whose US headquarters are located in Texas, has signed a major agreement with MODEC, an owner/operator and EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning) general contractor of floating production systems, to supply and service gas turbines for FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) in Brazil.

MODEC and its Brazilian partner Schahin Group have been awarded a contract for supply, charter and operations of a floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel by Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras).
