Metso has opening a new service center specialized in process valve and field equipment solutions in Gothenburg, Sweden. The investment supports the company's strategy to grow its service capabilities globally.

Metso, a manufacturer of industrial valves & other services, with operations in North and South America, will supply special Neles® valves for a delayed coker unit in the Barauni refinery's capacity expansion in India.

Metso delivered more than 70 Neles globe valves for Phase II of the Longyu Coal project in Henan for the production of 400,000 tons of acetic acid and 200,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year. The valves have been installed and their operation in extreme conditions has been flawless, proving the safety and reliability of the technology.

Metso has completed the acquisition of a steel foundry in Quzhou City, Zheijang Province some 400km Southwest of Shanghai.
