LNG ferry uses cryogenic valves

Canada has launched its first LNG-fuelled ferry called the MV Armand-Imbeau II. The ferry is the first of two dual fuel ferries built for Société des Traversiers du Québec. The ferry includes the LNGPac fuel storage system, which operates on dual fuel, making the vessel one of the most environmentally friendly ferries in operation.

Setpoint awarded JV valve contract for Cameron

Setpoint Integrated Solutions, an industrial supplier of engineered process control solutions, has announced that it has been selected to supply all control, safety relief and automated isolation valves for Cameron LNG, a large liquefied natural gas terminal located in the state of Louisiana.

Rotork’s actuators used for pipeline

Rotork GO gas-over-oil actuators have been supplied for vital failsafe valve control duties on a new cryogenic LNG pipeline in Venezuela. The San Joaquin Pipeline, owned by Venezuela state oil company PDVSA, transports LNG for the international market between the San Joaquin and Jose cryogenic plants.

Delfin & Hoegh team up for FLNG project

Delfin LNG LLC has signed a Joint Development Agreement with Höegh LNG Ltd in relation to its US-based Delfin Liquefied Natural Gas Deepwater Port Project. The Project is a planned floating liquefaction, deepwater port designed to export liquefied natural gas from the Gulf of Mexico, and is positioned to be the first floating deepwater liquefaction project in the United States.

Magellan & Plain to build pipeline

Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. and Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. announced Friday that they have formed Saddlehorn Pipeline Company, a 50/50 limited liability company, to construct, own and operate the Saddlehorn pipeline, an approximately 550-mile pipeline that will transport various grades of crude oil from the DJ Basin, and potentially the broader Rocky Mountain area resource plays, to storage facilities in Cushing, OK owned by Magellan and Plains.

LNG plant planned for Florida

American LNG has received local permission to move ahead with a $250 million USD LNG plant in Titusville, Florida, which is near Cape Canaveral. The building company still has to procure the various construction and environmental permits that are required for such a project, associated officials are confident that the plant could be up and running in as soon as 18 months.
