Jacobs acquires MARMAC Field Services assets
It has been announced that Jacobs Engineering Group, the provider of technical, professional and construction services, has acquired some assets of MARMAC Field Services, a privately held company that provides engineering and design services to the Western US regions.
With the acquisition, Jacobs will be able to expand geographically by going into more areas in the Western US and increase its capabilities by working more in the utility and gas industries.
Jacobs to acquire interest in Guimar Engenharia
It was recently announced that Jacobs, a global provider of technical, professional and constructions services, will acquire an interest in Guimar Engenharia, a privately held engineering and project management company based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but it has been noted that the acquisition is a staged investment and that each stage will be subject to certain closing conditions.
This will be Jacobs’ first major investment in Brazil and will enhance its ability to serve key clients investing in the country, thus expanding its South American operations.
BASF names Fluor North America engineering partner
BASF has named Fluor Corporation as its North American chemicals capital project engineering partner. Fluor was awarded an umbrella services agreement by BASF for an undisclosed contract value.
The agreement will cover the providing of services such as conceptual and front-end engineering and design, detailed engineering, procurement, project management and construction management services.
