Emerson recently introduced the ASCO™ Series 158 Gas Valve and Series 159 Motorized Actuator. Designed specifically for burner-boiler applications, the new products give OEMs, distributors, contractors and end-users a new combustion safety shutoff valve option that increases safety and reliability and enhances both flow and control.The new valve offers a higher close-off pressure of 75 psi (5.2 Bar), which ensures a safe shutoff in the event of a fuel train system failure and eliminates the need for additional safety components.

Emerson Commences New Ohio Plant Expansion

The expansion will consist of two phases, and both should be completed by the end of next year.The first phase of the project will increase the building’s manufacturing space by 12,600 square feet.

This new valve features an adjustable spring that does not require diaphragms or pilots, which makes it ideal for the crude oil industry.Back pressure valves currently available use rubber diaphragms that are prone to wear, leakage, and have pressure limits to operation.
