Baker Hughes Company, an international industrial service company, and Ocean Installer AS have recently won a subsea contract for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of subsea systems for the Balder X project on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.Baker Hughes and Ocean Installer will provide EPCI services for 16 new subsea production systems, umbilicals, risers and flowlines to the Jotun A FPSO unit.

Weatherford, a multinational oilfield services company, has won its largest-ever contract for deep-set safety valves from Brazilian oil and gas major Petrobras.The safety valve protects against catastrophic loss of well control by providing failsafe closures at pressures of up to 10,000 psi, and are rated for setting depths down to 12,000ft.

Orseal, an industrial valve solutions provider, has recently completed delivery on the first of two valve package contracts for Libra MV31 in Brazil.The FPSO Guanabara MV31 will be deployed in 2021 at the Mero field, located in the Libra block in the pre-salt region of the Santos Basin, located around 180km offshore Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at a water depth of 2,100m.Orseal’s special projects division has supplied valves ranging in size from 0.5-8 inches, both manual and actuated.
