Proposed pipeline may use one-way check valves
Transcanada Corporation has filed a 30,000-page application to convert an existing gas pipeline to carry oil from Western Canada to Cornwall, Ontario. It also wants to build a new pipeline to carry the crude eastward through Quebec to Atlantic Canada.
DNV approves Victaulic butterfly, check valves

Victaulic, the manufacturer of mechanical pipe-joining systems, has received Type Approvals from DNV (Det Norske Veritas) for its Vic-300 MasterSeal butterfly valves – Series 761 and Vic-Check check valves – Series 716 and 716H.
NACE Compliant Check Valves
Lee Products has introduced a range of high-pressure check valves designed specifically for harsh-duty applications such as chemical injection. Constructed of corrosion-resistant materials compliant with NACE MR0175 and ISO 15156 specifications, they feature a durable MP35N poppet and seat and have been designed for checked direction pressures up to 15,000 psid.
