Baker Hughes on Monday announced a partnership with Frontier Infrastructure to accelerate the development of the latter's large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) and power solutions in the United States.

Shell Canada Limited and affiliates and Canadian Natural Resources Limited (Canadian Natural) had agreed to a provision in the Athabasca Oil Sands Project transaction, where Shell will swap its remaining 10 percent interest in the Albian mines in exchange for an additional 10 per cent interest in the Scotford upgrader and Quest Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facility.

SLB announced that SLB Capturi, in collaboration with Aker Solutions, has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract from Hafslund Celsio AS to deliver a carbon capture solution at its waste-to-energy facility in Klemetsrud, Oslo.

SLB recently entered into an agreement with Aramco and Linde that paves the way for the development of a carbon capture and storage (CCS) hub in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, that is expected to become one of the largest globally.
