Belimo, the Switzerland-based company that produces control valves and actuators, has unveiled its new expanded 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Danbury, Connecticut. The new plant more than doubles the company’s production space from its existing facility in Danbury.
The new building includes 126,000 square feet of manufacturing space, more than 2½ times the existing building, and company executives said another 100,000-square-feet of production space could be created by knocking out the building’s back wall. The structure was designed to accommodate another 23,000 square feet of office space and to allow visiting customers to see the company’s products. Openings in the ceilings allow visitors to view damper actuators and control valves at work. In the boiler room, a facility usually closed from the public, color-coded pipes help customers distinguish one system from another.
