Strahman Valves acquires Illinois firm

Strahman Valves Inc., a valves manufacturer located in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VI in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has acquired an Illinois firm, BI-TORQ Valve Automation Inc.

“The acquisition of BI-TORQ Valve Automation was a strategic decision that strengthens BI-TORQ sales and marketing efforts in the U.S. as well as International sales,” said August F. Percoco, president and CEO of Strahman Valves.

In addition to expanded sales coverage, Percoco said the acquisition provides Strahman with the capability to design, manufacture and supply a wider range of valve products and actuation equipment, particularly thermal shut-off valves used in fire protection systems. He said the company will remain located in Illinois and will be considered a division of Strahman.
