During recent years, the world demand for energy has witnessed a renewed focus on natural gas with respect to the traditional fossil fuels – oil in the first place, and coal. The momentum that natural gas is gaining, particularly in its liquefied form (LNG), depends on several factors: one of them is surely the international concern for global warming and greenhouse gas emissions issues. The combustion of natural gas generates consistently lower CO2 emissions than other Hydrocarbons (HC), and this is a remarkable plus that strongly contributes to the dimensions of the supply wave that this gas is riding.
