Siemens turns over coal-fired plant to GenPower

Siemens Energy Inc. and Kvaerner ASA subsidiary, Kvaerner North American Construction, Inc. achieved substantial completion on the Maidsville, West Virginia 695megawatt supercritical pulverized coal-fired power plant. The plant has been turned over to GenPower Holdings, L.P. subsidiary Longview Power, LLC. One of the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired plants in the U.S., it will make a major contribution to environmentally compatible and economical power generation in the region.
