Entergy Louisiana has granted The Shaw Group an engineering, procurement and construction contract for the construction of a dual-fuel 550MW combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant in Louisiana. The plant will be able to burn both coal and biomass is expected to commence commercial operations by mid 2015.
Shaw is also building two CCGT gas plants in North Carolina and has completed a CCGT plant in Nevada.
