SCE soliciting proposals

Southern California Edison (SCE) is soliciting proposals for its renewable energy portfolio. All eligible technologies, especially generating facilities that can connect to existing or planned transmission lines, are welcome. Sources can be geothermal, wind, biomass, solar, and small hydro. This is SCE’s ninth open, competitive solicitation for renewable power contracts since 2002. Proposals are due on June 27, 2011. The completed contracts will be submitted to the California Public Utilities Commission for approval by mid-2012. SCE is hosting a Proposal Conference for interested parties on May 26.
