Rotork’s RTP-4000 range is a new generation of intelligent valve positioners that the company announced late October. The series is designed to deliver optimized control solutions for single- and double-acting actuators on rotary and linear valves.
The RTP-4400 is the initial release and features smooth installation/commissioning, online diagnostics, robust construction, and seamless system integration. These features enable energy-efficient operation in demanding applications — such as oil & gas — that require high-end valve control solutions.
One highlight is its magnet-based contactless position feedback that eliminates mechanical wear and ensures reliability for linear and rotary actuators. Also included is advanced pressure sensor-based diagnostics to provide online real-time device status and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Additionally, a user-friendly dashboard offers valve status while the corrosion-resistant construction ensures durability in harsh conditions with its copper-free aluminium and electronic circuits potted in resin.
An arctic option extends its temperature range capabilities down to -67°F. Also available are analogue and digital outputs, pressure gauges, and support for Emergency Shutdown (ESD) applications.
