Wärtsilä has appointed Bjorn Rosengren as the new President and CEO of Wärtsilä Corporation. Rosengren will resign from his current position at Atlas Copco and assume his new position on 1 September 2011. He will succeed Ole Johansson, who will retire. In his current position as Senior Executive Vice President Atlas Copco AB and as Business Area President for Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique Rosengren is based in Shanghai, China. He has held several management positions with Atlas since 1998. Before that, he led Nordhydraulic, Nordwin AB, and worked for Esab Group.
