Ribel Valvole was recently selected to supply Cryogenic Ball Valves for the Rio Grande LNG project in Texas. The project is one of the most significant liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants under development in the US.
Based out of Italy, the company manufacturers a range of high-quality cryogenic valve solutions that can withstand extreme environments. They are also fully compliant for international standards.
According to Ribel Valvole, the company will supply two models. The C1 is a compact, unidirectional wafer valve with 100 mm cryogenic stem extension and ideal for installations in tight spaces. The C4 model is a three-piece inline serviceable valve for applications requiring frequent maintenance or sanitization between process batches.
Both are API 607 8th Ed., ISO 10497:2022, and BS6364 certified, and engineered to perform from –196 °C to +200 °C. They are also made of ASTM A182 F316/316L stainless steel with R-PTFE (TFM) seats, PTFE, and graphite. All valves also feature silicone sealing systems, anti-blowout stems and double external sealing.
