REVISIONS COMING: Testing of Automatic Valves

The International Society of Automation (ISA) subcommittee responsible for ANSI/ISA-TR96.05.01 on partial stroke testing of automated valves has completed an update to the original Technical Report (TR) issued in 2008. The upcoming revision is the result of a lengthy process that included input from end-users, valve and actuator original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), process safety engineers, valve maintenance providers, engineering service companies and consultants. A version was circulated for ballot and industry review in late summer 2016 which produced many comments. The current version of the update addresses the comments received in 2016 and was circulated for ballot in April 2017.
