Refinery planned for Syria

Syria and Venezuela have signed a memo of understanding (MOU) concerning the joint development of the USD 5 billion Froklos oil refinery in eastern Homs.  The refinery is a joint project between Syria, Iran, Venezuela and Malaysia, and is ultimately planned to process 140,000 bpd of oil.
