Parker TechSeal launches custom FFKM seals

The TechSeal Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation has developed new FFKM (perfluoro rubber) custom sealing solutions for applications that require excellent sealing performance in extremely high temperatures and harsh chemical environments. TechSeal’s FFKM seals are custom extruded and spliced from Parker’s FF350 and V8545 perfluoroelastomers.
“TechSeal’s extruded and spliced FFKM seals can withstand application environments of up to 315°C and a broad range of chemicals and solvents such as petroleum oils, acetone, MEK, acids, and many more”, said Chris Couchell, engineering manager at TechSeal Division. The new custom FFKM sealing solutions are ideal for several industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceutical and semiconductor.
The FF350 and V8545 extruded seals are available in a variety of cross-sectional configurations such as solid O, hollow O and custom profiles. The cross-sectional diameters range from 0.070” to 0.300”. The extruded seals can be supplied in lengths of up to 50 feet depending on the profile and materials. TechSeal has developed a proprietary vulcanising technology to produce spliced FFKM seals and gaskets with solid profiles. These spliced seals have strong bond integrity while still maintaining the hi-temp and chemical resistance.
