North Country Engineering facility goes solar

North Country Engineering of Derby, Vermont and AllEarth Renewables, a Vermont-based solar tracker manufacturer and developer of local solar projects, have announced a partnership that will provide the machine facility solar energy from a 150kW Vermont solar orchard.

North Country Engineering, which runs a full service 18,000 square foot machining facility for the manufacturing of precision machined parts and assemblies, servicing the aerospace, valve and pipe line, industrial pump, precision electric motor, and other component industries, will benefit from a new solar array by saving money on their electric bills and greening their energy use.
Once online, the new solar project will provide nearly all of the energy the Derby facility’s needs annually with emissions free, net metered solar and provide the company long-term annual savings on its electric bill.

The 150kW system in Jeffersonville, Vermont on land own by Robert and Tanya Nuzzo will produce more than 275,000 kWh of clean energy each year.
