National Clean Fuels (NACF) signed a profit participation agreement with the Center for Environment, Commerce and Energy (CECE) to construct a biomass-to-electricity facility in Port Gibson, Mississippi. The plant will convert woodchips and sawdust into power. NACF and CECE will work together in the planning and implementation stages, and NACF will provide CECE with monthly project support financing in return for a percentage of the plant’s net profits. NACF and CECE are negotiating an interconnection agreement with local energy suppliers.
