Micromazza qualifies valve in test at -197 °C

Micromazza, which is headquartered in Brazil, recently carried out a qualification test of gate valves for cryogenic applications. The tests were carried out at the Micromazza Technical Laboratory on December 8th and 9th, 2016. The tests were conducted by the company’s technical team and were witnessed by a third party customer company, White Martins – Praxair Inc.

The tests were performed according to BS 6364 – Specification for Valves for cryogenic service and Micromazza procedures. Two prototypes of NPS 2 “CL150 Series 610 gate valves with specific cryogenic design developed by Micromazza Engineering were tested.

Micromazza had already qualified the ball valve for cryogenics on November 12, 2014 and currently, with the qualification of the gate type valve, is now able to offer the market options for cryogenic services in these two types of valves: gate and ball.
