Micromazza recently developed and added to its product portfolio the Double Sliding Check Valves, available in pressure classes 150, 300, 900, and 2500, and in gauges ranging from 2” to 16”. The double hatch check valves are both developed to API 594 construction standard and API 598 test standard. The sealing system of this valve uses a bipartite disk similar to a half moon, moved by the action of the fluid and by a spring fixed to a central axis.
Parts of the disc work like a hinge, opening and closing the fluid passage. This design has a flow direction, when the upstream fluid pressure is greater than the force imposed by the spring, the valve opens. By reducing pipeline pressure, the valve closes and prevents fluid return. It is a light valve, which occupies little space in the pipeline, fluid-operated and used in several industrial segments.
