Metso, a global manufacturer of industrial valves and systems, with operations in North and South America, has selected Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation to deliver a global industrial Internet of Things (IoT) platform that connects, monitors, and performs analytics for Metso’s equipment and services.
Metso worked with Rockwell Automation on a pilot program in 2015, remotely monitoring an African-based mining crusher in order to identify opportunities for improvement in machine performance.
The industrial IoT solution is designed to collect and store data from Metso’s equipment around the globe, including new equipment and machines already in operation, and is built on the Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Cloud platform powered by Microsoft Azure.
