Metso appoints Marjaranta VP, Global Communications

Metso Corporation, an industrial valves and controls manufacturer, with operations in North and South America, has appointed Helena Marjaranta to the position of Vice President, Global Communications as of December 1, 2015. She will be based in Helsinki. Marjaranta’s responsibility area covers external and internal communications. She reports to Urs Pennanen, Senior Vice President, Customer and Marketing Operations.

Marjaranta was previously employed by the Finnish Transport Agency (FTA), where she worked as Director of Communications and Sustainability since 2013. Before the FTA, she was Senior Vice President, Communications and Corporate Responsibility in Vaisala Oyj,  based both in the USA and Finland. Before joining Vaisala, she worked as Head of Communications for the Radio Access business in Nokia Siemens Networks and as a Senior Communications Manager in Nokia.
