Valve Accessories and Controls, Inc. (VAC), has announced several changes within the company. Randy Estes, formerly Western Regional Manager, has been appointed to President of VAC, while Scott Kratz has been given the role of General Manager of the Chelsea, Alabama Service Center. Wayne Fleming, VAC’s founder, will remain active in the company serving as the CEO. Brenna Locklear has also joined the VAC team as a Marketing/Inside Sales Associate.
VAC is also excited to announce an expansion of their Service Center to include more office and warehouse space, along with a significant investment in a modern training center. This center includes a larger conference room with demo/calibration stations and large video display as well as a separate, hands-on training lab with three permanent calibration stands. VAC has found that there is a significant need for training industry personnel to recognize and understand to importance of positioners as instruments. Often when positioners are installed on complex or even simple actuator/valve packages, the positioner is seen as an insignificant component and is not treated like the instrument that it is. VAC’s training focuses on positioner calibrating, trouble shooting, maintenance and universal mounting capabilities.
As a standalone supplier of positioners, VAC helps to put the choice back into the hands of the customer by helping them select the correct positioner based on their application.
Their standalone philosophy allows the company to focus on quality products and customer service and to help educate the customer to think independently and openly about all positioner options.
