Louisiana LNG Terminal expansion begins

Cheniere Energy Partners is proceeding with Train 5 of the Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project in Cameron Parish, LA, and has issued a notice to proceed with construction to Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals, Inc.
The Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project is being designed for up to six liquefaction trains, each with nominal production capacity of approximately 4.5 million tons per annum.
Cheniere has five liquefaction trains that are currently under construction at Sabine Pass. Train 1 is expected to make its first LNG later this year. Train 5 is expected to commence operations as early as 2018.
