In early October, Kennedy Valve sponsored and took part in Manufacturing Day along with other local manufacturers. The mission of Manufacturing Day is to address the skilled labor shortage, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, connect with future generations and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the industry.
Team members from Kennedy’s production, quality, sales and human resources departments spent the day talking about the industry, new opportunities and the future of manufacturing with students from five counties – which included over 20 high schools. Students who stopped by the Kennedy Valve table made hydrants out of play-doh and shared the places they have seen hydrants with the Kennedy name.
