Jordan Valve, a division of Richards Industries, has released an animated video highlighting the operation and benefits of their unique sliding gate seat design. The sliding gate seat technology is used in industrial control valves, pressure regulators and temperature regulators and provides a number of advantages over traditional trim designs. Harry Woebkenberg, Richards’ Vice President of Marketing said, “The sliding gate is an incredible design. It can be a challenge explaining the operation and benefits to customers. This video makes the sliding gate seat much easier to understand. In this case, a picture really is worth a thousand words.”
The unique sliding gate technology provides three significant benefits in achieving best results; higher capacity, straight thru-flow, and greater accuracy. The sliding gate is made up of three components: a stationary plate with multiple orifices, a slotted disk which moves across the plate to control the flow, and the disc guide.
