Jacobs Earns Nine-Year Wastewater Operations Contract in Jackson, Mississippi

Jacobs has been awarded a nine-year contract by JXN Water to operate and maintain the wastewater infrastructure for Jackson, Mississippi.

The contract is an amendment to an existing contract after completing improvements through integrated service solutions. Under the agreement, they will operate and maintain Jackson’s three wastewater treatment plants and 99 pump stations.

Immediate priorities include supporting the completion of a condition assessment and implementation of a strategic improvement plan.  They will also invest in workforce development to address the shortage of qualified operators and support certification programs to maintain consistent service for residents.
