Jacobs acquires MARMAC Field Services assets

It has been announced that Jacobs Engineering Group, the provider of technical, professional and construction services, has acquired some assets of MARMAC Field Services, a privately held company that provides engineering and design services to the Western US regions.

With the acquisition, Jacobs will be able to expand geographically by going into more areas in the Western US and increase its capabilities by working more in the utility and gas industries. Kevin McMahon, Jacobs Group Vice President, has stated, “MARMAC’s solid performance history, talented employees and strong client relationships align well with our relationship-based business model. This acquisition allows us to further diversify our services and drive greater growth in the utility and gas pipeline engineering business.”

Likewise, Wendie Hendrix, MARMAC CEO, has commented, “This acquisition takes advantage of our shared client base and increases our capabilities in the fast growing gas pipeline engineering and design marketplace. With Jacobs, we have access to a much wider resource base that enables us to enhance our services for clients as well as provide more opportunities for our employees.”
