In memoriam: Thomas Hannafin

Thomas J. Hannafin, a 27 year veteran of KITZ Corporation of America (KCA) had passed away.
Tom was a graduate of Villanova University in Philadelphia. He began his career in flow control with Rockwell International and spent a number of years with the former Gulf Supply in Houston, Texas prior to joining KCA in 1985 as Southwest Regional Manager. Tom ascended to Vice President – Sales and retired from full time employment in 2009. Since then, Tom served as a Senior Advisor to KCA and wonderfully represented KITZ at both API and MSS.

Tom had recently accepted a three-year term as President of MSS.
Tom’s technical knowledge of practical valve applications and specifications was enormous and will be missed by our organization and industry. He was a valued colleague, a mentor to many, and a dear and trusted friend. His unique passion for our business and success along with his absolute humility will never be forgotten.

Tom leaves behind his loving wife Anne, five children he adored and eight treasured grandchildren. There was a celebration of his life at a Memorial Mass and reception in Spicewood, Texas. In Tom’s memory, contributions may be made to ‘Down Home Ranch’ in Elgin, Texas. Please visit www.DownHomeRanch.org and click on the “In Memory of Thomas J. Hannafin” link.
