IMI Critical Engineering Choke Valves

IMI Critical Engineering recently helped a new client quickly find a solution to a complex set of requirements utilizing newly developed water injection choke valves.
Our client in the oil and gas industry was having significant problems with reliability, noise, and capacity with the installed valves that they had in place. They needed the valves to meet very specific operating conditions, including height and space limitations, and needed a valve with exceptional performance.
The client had been unable to find a suitable solution to replace their existing valves from their current supplier, leaving them with reduced operational efficiency and increased downtime.
After visiting their plant and assessing their needs, the team at IMI Critical Engineering quickly devised a solution. Our valve experts recommended that the client upgrade their eight choke valves to 100DWI water injection choke valves.

The benefits of these new valves included:
Improved operational reliability, removing the need for unplanned shutdowns to rotate out valves
Increased capacity and profit for the business by reducing overall lifecycle costs by up to 40%
Reduced noise levels with strict adherence to noise abatement requirements
Up to 50% service life increase of the valve thanks to the enhanced cavitation and erosion control design.

The client, pleased with the solution, has since placed an order for these valves, thanking IMI Critical Engineering for their quick work citing the valves as both a technically and commercially attractive solution for their operation.
