Hillenbrand buys Red Valve for USD $132 M

Pending final approval this month, Hillenbrand Inc. recently agreed to the acquisition of Carnegie, Pennsylvania-based Red Valve Co. Inc., for USD $131.9 million.

Red Valve makes highly-engineered valves designed to operate in the harshest municipal and industrial wastewater environments. Its products are used in the water, power and mining and other general industrial markets.

Red Valve will join Hillenbrand’s Process Equipment Group, which includes Abel, a maker of positive displacement pumps. Hillenbrand’s other major group is Batesville, which makes caskets.
