Hayward® Commercial Pool Products announces the introduction of its patent-pending BYV Series Butterfly Valve. The new BYV Series incorporates highly advanced thermoplastic design and construction for butterfly valves in the industry.
Available in multiple thermoplastic materials from sizes 2” through 12”/DN50 – 300 – the BYV Series has a robust one-piece body construction, but weighs lesser than metal valves of equal size. The hand lever features a 72-spline interlock mechanism allowing for 19 stopping positions at five-degree intervals. The engineered hand lever material incorporates a UV inhibitor for enhanced performance in outdoor applications.
The BYV also features reinforced lugholes and can be ordered with over-moulded 316 stainless steel lugs for dead-end service or isolation needs. The series is available in ANSI150 and DIN/EN PN10 flange patterns, with a pressure rating of 150 PSI/10 Bar at 70°F non-shock across all sizes and materials.
Additional options include field installable 316 stainless steel lugs, gear operators, pneumatic or electric actuators, manual limit switches, stem extensions, and 2in2 operating nut and chain operator for gearboxes. All BYV Series butterfly valves are backed by Hayward’s Exclusive Two Year Warranty and made by Hayward in Clemmons, NC. Typical applications or installations include, but are not limited to, commercial pools, aquatic facilities and theme parks.
