Amherst, New York-based Griffco Valve, Inc. recently announced the introduction of its new line of gauge guards and instrument isolators to enhance the performance of chemical feed systems. The addition of a Griffco Gauge Guard helps ensure that optimal pressures are maintained; diaphragm isolators protect instruments against chemical attack. 3D CAD drawings in several formats can be downloaded from the company’s website.
Available worldwide from Griffco Valve and its distributors, the new gauge guards and isolators perform in any position and feature a calibration screw for zeroing, Griffco states. The top is constructed of molded Noryl and the body is available in a choice of PVC, CPVC, PP, PTFE, PVDF, or 316 Stainless Steel. Connection sizes include 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” (DN 8, DN 10 & DN 15) with NPT, BSPT, Socket, Union, and Flange connections available. Gauge port size is 1/4” (DN 8). The gauge connection is 316 SS. No metal fasteners are used.
Manufactured in the USA, Griffco Gauge Guards & Instrument Isolators have a maximum operating pressure of 250 psi (17 bar) at 70°F (21°C). Standard diaphragm material is Viton with PTFE, Hypalon and Kalrez optionally available. Pressure range is 0 to 160 psi (11 bar) standard with pressure gauge options of 60 psi (4 bar), 100 psi (7 bar), and 200 psi (14 bar). The unit is available with or without the gauge, as well as in “Economy”, “Mid-Range” and “Premium” gauge options, depending on case and connection material and connection styles, Griffco says.
