Griffco Valve, Inc., Amherst, New York, introduces its new Fusion Dampeners, which combine the technologies of the company’s proven back pressure valves and pulsation dampeners. The new fusion dampeners will simplify a chemical-feed system installation because they blend two previously separate accessories into one product. The combination of these two devices into one accessory will also reduce the number of joints, hence fewer leak path opportunities, and provide for a smooth, nearly pulseless chemical-feed system, the company states.
The initial offering of Griffco fusion dampeners is available in NPT connection sizes of 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” and two pulsation dampener volumetric sizes of 6 cubic in. and 10 cubic in. Body materials of construction include PVC, CPVC, PP, and PVDF, and the bladders are available in EPDM, Viton®, Hypalon®, and PTFE.
“Due to the large internal passages in the new fusion dampeners, there are no restrictions on flow rate or pumped fluid cleanliness,” said Colin Black, President of Griffco Valve.
He added that with a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi (10 bar) at 70°F (21°C) the new accessory will help cover a wide range of applications in the municipal and industrial markets.
