Greene Tweed Announces Enduro® LF10 PTFE-Based Coating

Greene Tweed highlights Enduro® LF10, a thin conformal, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) based coating ideal for enhancing the performance and extending the lifetime of elastomeric, thermoplastic, or metal manufacturing equipment components. By reducing the sticking force between component interfaces or friction-related wear, Enduro LF10 reduces particulate generation.

In static or dynamic sealing applications, Enduro® LF10 coating reduces friction between surfaces, and can be applied to elastomeric, plastic, and metal components. It can also be used as a way to reduce the sticking force (separation force) for seals, including vacuum seals. Continuous use at high temperatures equal to PTFE meets the thermal needs of most processes. Deposition occurs at low temperatures, allowing coating of delicate structures and temperature sensitive materials.

The Enduro® LF10 coating exhibits excellent adhesion, high purity and excellent conformality to thoroughly cover complex surface features. With deposition at low temperatures, it can be applied to many surface material types and works well for both static and dynamic applications. Enduro® LF10 coatings can also convert surface property from hydrophilic to hydrophobic in aqueous chemical environments, enhancing process equipment efficiencies.
