The International Organization for Standardization is proud to announce that its contributing author Gobind Newandram Khiani.,P.Eng., has been nominated as Vice Chairman of the Committee TC-67/SC2 in addition to TC-153/SC1.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 168 national standards bodies. Through its members, it brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market-relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. ISO has developed over 24749 International Standards, all of which are included in the ISO Standards catalog.
The committee SC67 under TC (technical Group of committees in ISO standards development program) is titled “Pipeline Transportation Systems”. The Standards Council of Canada representing Canada works closely with the committee in updating 31 published standards and 18 new standards under development.
As Vice Chair, Gobind will be involved in code updates, liaison on committee requirements, and participate in regular updates by sharing a wealth of knowledge he has gained on industry practices by participating in various code committees, including, API, ASME, PRCI, CSA, AMPP, AFPM, ISO, etc.
