GE Oil & Gas increase growth/hiring in Houston

GE Oil & Gas senior executive Supply Chair, Paul Smith announced that company would be hiring over 200 production manufacturing positions and more than 30 salaried supply-chain positions, in order to grow and increase capacity in Houston, Texas.

 
 
Production positions including assemblers, inspectors, machinists, electronic technicians, welders, painters/blasters, among others will be opening and salaried positions such as lead scheduler, quality engineer, cell/product support supervisor, manufacturing engineer, lead buyer and operations leader – quality/databooks will be open. All positions offered are available on a full-time basis at several of the company’s Houston-area locations and offer competitive benefits package.

 
 
“We are also launching a skills development program to train welders and machinists. Candidates hired into the program will have hands-on experience, and take related courses, which GE will sponsor. Interested candidates should have a strong willingness to learn and grow with the company, have a high school diploma or GED, and have an interest in manual mechanical work,” Smith said.
